Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health is New Hampshire's only academic health system and the state's largest private employer. As a non-profit, fully integrated healthcare delivery network, it serves patients across New Hampshire, Vermont, and northern New England. Founded in 1797, the system employs more than 2,300 providers and trains nearly 450 residents and fellows annually across 53 programs.
The system's flagship, Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, is the state's only academic medical center and the only Level I Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center in New Hampshire. It operates more than 30 Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinics providing primary and specialty care throughout the region. The Norris Cotton Cancer Care Pavilion is one of only 57 NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers in the nation, and Dartmouth Health Children's is New Hampshire's only children's hospital. Visiting Nurse and Hospice for Vermont and New Hampshire is also part of the network.
Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health holds a foundational commitment to healthcare innovation and compassionate care, with a stated vision to set the standard for rural healthcare delivery in the United States as a premier academic health system.
