CareOregon is a nonprofit health plan and community-based health care organization founded in 1994 that serves more than 500,000 low-income Oregonians through integrated medical, dental, and behavioral health benefits. As the largest health plan serving Oregon Health Plan members, the organization operates a family of coordinated care organizations including Columbia Pacific CCO, Jackson Care Connect, CareOregon Advantage (Medicare Advantage), CareOregon Dental, and Housecall Providers.
The organization manages both Medicaid and Medicare beneficiaries across Oregon, coordinating care through partnerships with the Oregon Health Authority and Health Share of Oregon. Beyond insurance administration, CareOregon invests millions annually in local community programs addressing social determinants of health, including housing, food security, and transportation assistance.
Operating from Portland with statewide reach, CareOregon combines managed care operations with a mission to create quality and equity in individual and community health. The organization's 30-year track record reflects experience managing complex, integrated health care delivery for vulnerable populations while maintaining a nonprofit structure accountable to the communities it serves.
