Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest (PPPSW) is one of the largest providers of sexual and reproductive healthcare in Southern California. Founded in 1963, the organization operates 20 health centers across San Diego, Riverside and Imperial counties, staffed by nearly 750 employees and supported by an annual budget of $80M.
Clinical services are delivered confidentially and include sexual and reproductive health care, HIV and STI testing, prevention and treatment, abortion services, and gender-affirming hormone therapy. Alongside direct medical care, PPPSW runs sexual and reproductive health education programs that centre youth, BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities, as well as advocacy work focused on sexual and reproductive freedom, reproductive justice and health equity.
The organisation states a set of values spanning teamwork, respect for all people, initiative, continuous learning, business stewardship and return to mission. It invests in employees through professional development, uses inclusive hiring practices, and offers a benefits package designed to meet a diverse workforce's needs. Confidentiality and high-quality care are emphasised in the workplace.
Strategically, PPPSW focuses on organisational resilience, expanded access to care and education, community well-being and advocacy. Vacancies are listed at pppswcareers.org.
